Happy Holidays everyone!!!! We hope you all have enjoyed your holiday season. We sure have!
Two weeks ago we drove down to Santa Fe, New Mexico for a show. The citizens of Santa Fe are so incredibly nice. They were very thankful for having us come down to skate in their show. The children of the show were inspiring to us because of their hunger and passion for skating. They were so eager to skate each show. The show was Sochi themed and it gave us chills as we thought about the possibility of traveling there on the Olympic team some day.
We headed back home to the Springs for 5 days before we drove to Vail to skate in our favorite Christmas show. Shipstad Entertainment hosts a show that is outside within the Vail ski resort. We went with our friends from the World Arena. We were fortunate to have training ice time in the mornings before the show. It was a great challenge to do our programs in extremely high altitude. We all survived and kept it fun. It was a great last trip before we travel to Boston.
Today we spent Christmas with Chris’ family in the Springs. His older brother and his fiancé flew in from San Diego. We spent our holiday in a very traditional, American, way! We made gingerbread houses, played board games, opened stockings and presents, and had a feast for dinner. Dessert is still to come.
We are so thankful to spend another Christmas with each other. It is the second of many more to come! Happy Holidays everyone. See you in Boston!!!!!!!
